I.m having trouble with the stopout lacquer. It dries before I can paint the parts I want to stop out. Even thinned way down. Is there a special thinner that is slower drying?
anybody do gold selective plating?

Jerrywh, I use nail polish as a stop for gold electroplating. You can see exactly where it is , and it stays in place even at 140 deg for gold plating.

What do you thin the nail poish with? It dries so fast I can't get it on the tiny places.

acetone is the best choice for a thinner as it is the base ingredient in nail polish remover.
