I'm certainly not a Guru at posting pictures, and I found it Frustrating until I finally figured it out, so to help others on the forum that may be having trouble , this is how I do it ,not to say it will work for you, it may depend on the PC you are running. A couple of people on the forum suggested using Photo Shop ,But I did't
have that .
Here is the proceedure I use:
1) Go to where ever your pictures are stored.
2) Select the picture you wish to post.
3) Right click on picture (box will open)
4) Scroll to "resize picture" and left click
5) resize to 640 x 480
6) Click OK
7) Now go to thread and click Go Advanced
8) Scroll down to Manage Attachments and click on. Manage Att. box opens
9) Choose file
10) Find and select picture that has been reduced.
11) Click open
12) This will send it to Manage Att. Click Upload.
It should become an attached file . Type your message, preview post, and submit reply

I hope this is of some help to anyone having trouble posting pictures it works for me ,and may
save you the frustration I went through. If anyone has a better way or a different way your more
than welcome to add your comments.
If you do not have Image Resizer Power Toy you will need to download it from Microsoft it is a free download.

If you are running WinXP and get to step 4 and do not see a choice for resize then you do not have the Image Resizer Power Toy from Microsoft installed. It is free and you can click here to download it. It makes it really easy to resize images for uploading.

Enjoy and have a great holiday!!

Bill, I'm on this like ugly on an ape. I'll take pictures tonight and see what I can do tomorrow as far as getting them posted. Sword wants to see some of us old timers tools we hacked out when we did'nt have much money to purchase fancy new stuff. Thanks loads, Reno is getting closer.:)

Glenn,
I hope it works for you , but as Kevin mentioned you may have to down load power toy I had forgotten
to put that in the list . I did download power toy to resize the pictures, and if you do not have a program of some type to resize pictures you can't post them.

I did down load power toy. If you check my response to swords request, you can see that your tutorial worked even for this old codger. Thanks for the help. I'll buy you an ice tea in Reno.

Hi Kevin.
You answered a big part of my question from William G's post.
A right click on the picture did not give me the resize option.
I opened your link but still have a few questions, please.
Do I want to click run or save or what to install it on my computer?
When installed, will it come up with a right click on the picture?
I'm running Windows XP. This computer dummy thanks you for your help.

Hi to William Grubb and a big thank you for 'splaining most of it.

Have a great Holiday, John B.
Or will it be a desktop icon?

Rick & John ,
I had forgotten to mention you need to download image resizer "Power Toy" it's a free download. Then when you right click a box then opens, scroll to resize pictures and left click. Follow the steps from there.

Hope this helps.

Thanks William, will give it a try.
John B.

Well, I clicked save and it showed a download but it's not on my desktop or when I right click on a picture.
Don't know where it went..... the computer wins again!

When you go to the download page for the power toy choose run and the program will be installed. IF you choose save you have to decide where to save the install program and then find it and run it to install it. The run option is much easier and you do not need the install program for anything after it is installed.

Once installed it will appear in themenu when you right click on the picture.

Kevin.
Thank you for your help again.
I followed it and it worked.
It's installed.
Many, many thanks for your input.

William.
Thanks to you too.
You made me give it a go because I sense that like me, computers give you fits.

Thanks to all for the information shared on Sam and Abigails Cafe.
A wonderful resource.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all.
John B.
