I was thinking of venturing into enameling in the future. Are you using Silver? and if so, what alloy?

I like your piece very much.

PS, are you using a kiln, or a torch?

Thankyou, Monica, a very slow, but rewarding process, as it unfolds, and hopefully,, gradually comes together! Requires a giant leap of faith and perseverance for the many surprises along the way.

I love these branches. Did you solder them using the special solder that is said to hold up well with enameling project firing? Also, have you tried engraving copper and adding enamel to the cuts?
I would like to try this some time with the very fine enamel powder that you can mix with oil or water to make the enamel into a type of paint, such as oil paint.

Engraving at some point. Have done etching. Used hard solder but will cover the solder up with opaque enamels not transparent. Below my etched pileated woodpecker design filled in

Great! I have had great luck using hard solder as well. A lot of people encourage you never to use hard solder and instead use another type of solder that will withstand temperatures used for enameling. I look forward to seeing more.
